The ten occupants of a DC-3 registration 2494, the Latin American Air Services Company (Laser), died when the pilot attempted an emergency landing and fell on the farm Blessing in the municipality of San Martin, Meta.

The Civil Aeronautics reported that the pilot declared an emergency at 10:40 am, when he was heading to Villavicencio and none of the occupants survived the incident.

The ship covered the Pedreras route, in Taraira (Vaupés), stopped at the San José del Guaviare airport and headed to Vanguardia in Villavicencio. At the time of landing, the aircraft caught fire, a witness said.

In San José del Guaviare, they reported that Jaime Carrillo, a pilot, was on the plane; Jaime Herrera, co-pilot; Alex Moreno, technician; Doris Liceth Villegas, mayor of Tataira (Vaupés); Eriberto Araque and Catalina Araque, husband and daughter of the mayor.

In addition, Alejandro Fonseca, the cargo owner that was transported in the ship; Alex Rodríguez, assistant to the owner of the cargo; Juan Manuel Mejía, northern music singer, and Juan Carlos Méndez, pilot who boarded the flight in San José del Guaviare.

Civil Aeronautics reported that accident investigation personnel traveled to the area to initiate the procedure established by the International Civil Aviation Organization, ICAO, to clarify the possible causes of the accident.

The road on Jalan Setia Budi, Medan Selayang Village, Tanjung Sari, precisely at the Regional Government Junction, was totally jammed on Saturday (02/16/2019) at 21.00 WIB.
