British rapper "Young Spray" stabbed in Hammersmith ,England

Police have arrested a man after rapper Young Spray was stabbed at a star-studded grime music awards event. 

Leon Riviere, 37, was knifed repeatedly while in a backstage dressing room at the Apollo in Hammersmith during the GRM Daily Rated Awards.

Horrifying footage showed the rapper, known as Young Spray, in a pool of blood while slumped against the wall after the attack on September 4. 

Scotland Yard said on Wednesday that officers had arrested a 37-year-old man on suspicion of GBH in connection with the attack. 

He remains in custody at a south London police station after his arrest, a police spokesman said.
